The foundation of the people of Texas comes from its rich history and those who traveled great distances to call the area home.  The church was central to these new communities created across Texas.  The new Texans found great comfort in their church homes, usually built by their own hands and with the materials found near by.  Steeple of Texas takes you on a visual journey of many of these churches focusing on the top of the steeple, called a finial.  There is often meaningful symbolism to the actual finial that sits on top of the steeple. Many of them are works of art that have withstood Texas weather extremes.
